"Did Moses not part the water with the cane? //
Did strippers not make an arc when I made it rain? //
Did Yeezy not get signed by Hov and Dame? //
And ran to Jacob and made the new Jesus chains?"

I love these lines from Kanye West’s new song, “New God Flow.” I had to refer to RapGenius to understand most of these lyrics. Let’s look at these beautiful lines that reference religion:

“Did Moses not part the water with the cane?”
 cane = ‘caine = cocaine = yay = ‘Ye = Kanye

“Did strippers not make an arc when I made it rain?”
making it rain = throwing money up in the air; arc of a woman’s back = ark that Noah built

“Did Yeezy not get signed by Hov and Dame?”
Hov is Jay-Z’s nickname, which is a shortened form of “Jehovah,” one of the Hebrew names of the Abrahamic God.

“And ran to Jacob and made the new Jesus chains?”
Kanye West asked custom jewelry designer Jacob Arabo to make him his famous “Jesus Piece.”
